วันที่ 8 ตุลาคม 2563:นายประภัตร โพธสุธน รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ พร้อมคณะฯ และนางสมรัก บุษปธำรง รองผู้อำนวยการองค์การสะพานปลา ด้านบริหาร ลงพื้นที่ตรวจเยี่ยมแหล่งเกษตรกร นำร่องที่โครงการแก้มลิงแก่งน้ำต้อน จ.ขอนแก่น พร้อมแนะนำให้ดำเนินการให้แล้วเสร็จก่อน 4 ปี เพื่อช่วยบรรเทาปัญหาภัยแล้งให้ประชาชน และส่งเสริมการปลูกแหนแดง เนื่องจากราคาดี ให้ผลผลิตเร็ว รวมถึงโครงการโคขุนกู้วิกฤตด้วย โดยนายประภัตร กล่าวว่า “เกษตรกรที่สนใจเข้าร่วมโครงการ ต้องจดวิสาหกิจชุมชน 7 คนขึ้นไป และเลือกอาชีพที่สนใจ รวมถึงเป็นที่ต้องการของตลาด เช่น จิ้งหรีด มีการส่งออกมากถึงปีละกว่า 1,000 ล้านบาท เป็นต้น นอกจากนี้ ยังลดต้นทุนอาหาร โดยการส่งเสริมปลูกพืชอาหารสัตว์ ซึ่งมอบหมายให้กรมปศุสัตว์ ดำเนินการจัดทำอาหารสัตว์ต้นทุนต่ำให้เกษตรกร ใช้อาหารผสมสำเร็จรูปตามอัตราส่วน TMR โดยใช้วัตถุดิบภายในพื้นที่ ขณะนี้ กรมปศุสัตว์ โดยศูนย์วิจัยอาหารสัตว์ทั่วประเทศ ได้เร่งคิดสูตรอาหารที่มีประสิทธิภาพ และต้องมีต้นทุนไม่เกิน 4 บาทต่อกิโลกรัม” [...]
